AMAREVOIS NEW SINGLE RELEASE
Melbourne songwriter/musician/producer and award winning artist Amarevois is set to release a new single Citizen on June 7th 2019 on her own label, Azimuth Arts. Amarevois composed, arranged, produced, performed and mixed the track in her Melbourne studio, along with several other remixes or re-envisionings of the single which have been variously described as Conscious Pop, Blip-Hop, Electro-Jazz, Glowstep, Lushbeat, Dreampunk, Hauntcore and Filmwave.
Amarevois will be performing an ‘unplugged’ set and premiering the single and music video at Sagi Bar in Northcote on Friday June 7th at 7pm [see the Beat gig guide]

The release of the original version of Citizen will be followed at fortnightly intervals by four other remixes/versions which will comprise an EP and will be issued as a limited edition vinyl in September 2019. Each copy will be numbered and signed by the artist. The EP contains several mixes of Citizen that will be exclusive to the limited edition.
The new release Citizen [Original Mix] is a driving, eerie mid tempo electronic piece @ 120 bpm which asks some tough questions about our attitudes and loyalties in this, the era of global citizenship and shifting consciousness and is accompanied by a mograph driven, hacktivist inspired music video which Amarevois wrote, directed, edited and composited.
The second mix of Citizen [Hyperballad Mix] is a down tempo synth drenched version with jazzy guitar and operatic elements that meld into an evocative fusion of imagery, ideas and genres.

The third mix of Citizen [Stardust Mix] is a hip hop inspired track which sees Amarevois rapping, extending the lyric’s themes and delivering an extremely hooky chorus. This is the most commercial and accessible track and is accompanied by its own music video which Amarevois also wrote, directed, edited and composited. This video contains many elements of the original, but also includes scenes filmed in Fitzroy, featuring some of Melbourne’s finest street art.
The final remix release of Citizen is the [Club mix] and is designed for dance floors everywhere. A driving house groove with numerous breakdowns and steep drops, this track would be equally at home in Europe or America as it is on our own shores.
