AMAREVOIS NEW SINGLE RELEASED 17/7/14
Date: 22/7/14
Melbourne musician/producer Amarevois has released the first single Ecstasis from her forthcoming concept album Oraculum, the first on her own label, Azimuth Arts. Click here to watch the official music video created, produced and directed by Amarevois herself.
Amarevois is best known for her soaring vocal on the seminal breakbeat track ‘Free‘ by Scrambler, released on the EQ Grey label in 2002, initially as part of Phil K’s underground gem Balance 004 [EQGCD007] and then on vinyl [EQG12017] which featured an acapella version and a fabulously twisted remix by Lo Step.
Excitement has been building amongst fans and in the music industry after the recent private premiere of Ecstasis in Melbourne met with a glowing response.

The single Ecstasis is preceded by the Oraculum Prologue, which is a six-part online microfiction/soundscape series that comprises vignettes from Amarevois’ cyberpunk opera Neolithica, as the oracle and protagonist Locus Pyre travels through time.

“Sometimes, to gain the world, you must let it go. To become an Oracle is to gain one’s own eyes. To lose the self, yet be unified with the All That Is…to be a nomad in an empire of one.“ Locus Pyre (Prologue Episode 1 – The Awakening)
Ecstasis is an online only release, with plans for a special edition CD/DVD for the release of the album later in the year.
“Listening to Amarevois’ music is like being gently bathed in swirls of dreamy complexity….it takes you on a vast, inexpressible journey”
Sean Hegarty
